To Quim Monzó, a poem

We've heard your speech and felt amazed,
rapidly learnt you are so brave.
You boldly talked and made us glad
and told the world we aren't mad.
You wrote a tale and loudly explain,
our country shall never pass away.
We had a say: build, create and fight,
get rid of darkness and switch the light.
We cry for freedom to leave the jail,
we shall quickly flee from Spain.
In German land became king of words,
not a monarch, but the writer of all.
